Grounding Techniques
Step 1: Remove Your Attention From The Person or Situation and Focus On Your Breath.
Step 2: Find The Humor In The Situation
Step 3: Identify Why You Are Being Triggered & Acknowledge It As An Important Factor of You & What Makes You Valuable.
Step 4: Don't Gloss Over Your Feelings, But Do Steps 1 - 3 First, Then Address Them With The Person or Situation.
- Take 10 deep breaths.
- Imagine being in a beautiful forest or reading a book in bed late at night.
- Walk away for 5 minutes.
- Say you need to go to the bathroom & calm down.

- Make the negative a positive & laugh.
